Intern Designer


The role of a Graphic Design Intern is geared toward a student in their final two years of school who is studying in a field of design, web, digital or fine arts. With this internship, we are looking for a designer who likes to balance creativity and with practical usage with the purpose to create engaging and on-brand graphics for digital media. This PAID internship is typically 20 hours per week for 8-10 weeks but can be modified to meet requirements based on school and specific credits.

What will you be working on at a graphic design internship?

You will be introduced to the process of building a professional digital presence, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos and various branded graphics, layouts and photo editing. You’ll be the one to help shape the visual aspects of websites, newsletters, social, and other marketing material.

The goal of your work is to inspire the client, and attract the target audience. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative understanding and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we’d like to meet you.


  • Follow the direction of supervisors and clients
  • Stay on task with projects and understand defined budget/time constraints
  • Create illustrations, logos and other designs using software
  • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
  • Work with the designers to produce publish ready design files
  • Amend designs after feedback


  • Proven graphic designing experience with a strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch)
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
